Mooring at the Reef
When we arrive at Sombrero Reef, our catamaran secures to a designated mooring ball instead of dropping an anchor.
These mooring buoys are permanently installed and connected to the ocean floor in a way that prevents damage to the fragile coral reef below. By using them, we avoid dragging anchors across living coral, which helps preserve this incredible ecosystem for future generations.
No anchoring. No reef damage. Just responsible, unforgettable snorkeling.
