Sombrero Reef National Marine Sanctuary and Lighthouse is the #1-rated snorkeling tour spot in the Florida Keys! This 30-acre coral reef is from 2 to 30 feet deep with thousands of tropical fish. There is NO STANDING. The reef is six miles offshore in the Atlantic Ocean. It is unlawful to touch or take coral. Never swim alone, we use the buddy system. SWIMMING IS A PREREQUISITE FOR THIS ACTIVITY. Riders are welcome.
Starfish Marathon Snorkeling Tours offers three snorkeling tours during full season and operates year round. Our convenient location is just north of the famous 7-Mile Bridge in Marathon (in the Sea Dog Charters Marina). Three hour snorkeling tours starting from $29.00 pp, cash. Restrictions apply. Additional credit card charges and fees may apply. Florida State Sales Tax is 7.5%.

“The Starfish” is a luxuriously powered catamaran with a private head (bathroom), fresh water shower and a shaded lounging area on-board. The boat is U.S. Coast Guard Certified and Inspected for Up To 49 Passengers.
Per Title 49 USCG Code of Federal Regulations, passenger weight restricted to 195 pounds per person. Vessel ladder and platform weight restricted to 250 pounds.
Extras include: prescription mask rental (nearsighted only); wet-suit rental; earplugs, new mouthpieces, sun lotion and motion sickness tablets. Concessions are available on-board. (Sorry, we do not allow coolers on the vessel nor do we allow spray sun lotion, thank you.)

24 hour advance cancellation policy is in effect for all excursions, penalty is 100%. Starfish Marathon Snorkeling Tours reserves the right to cancel the trip for any reasons associated with weather, lack of customers, maintenance issues and/or repair, or other situations. *Alternate Marathon snorkel sites are utilized when conditions prevent us from reaching Sombrero, and decisions are left in the competent hands of the Captain. No refunds, no exceptions. Check-in AT LEAST 30 minutes prior to departure or your reservation will be forfeited. Check-in cut off times are 8:30 am and 12:30 pm.
